A multidisciplinary team composed of architects, biologists, geologists, artists and sound engineers was put together. These laboured intensely over sketches and schematics of the different habitats, which were supposed to simulate as accurately as possible the conditions in nature. The objective was for each animal to feel totally secured and immersed in a familiar environment, therefore ensuring its health and well being.
Multiple pieces of decorative mussels, corals and other incrusted fauna were used to establish perfect surroundings. All of these, however, were strictly artificial, therefore minimizing live collections from the wild.
