Plan your activities at Oceanário. Check Calendar

Captive breeding is generally perceived as an indicator of good husbandry practices and overall well being. The quarantine level features a substantial amount of tanks dedicated to newborns, growing juveniles and pregnant animals. These tanks are maintained with absolutely pristine environmental conditions, as breeding animals are particularly sensitive during this delicate time.

Many species have bred in the Oceanário, the most notorious of which were the Alaskan Sea-otters and Penguins. Also, cuttlefish, many species of jellyfish, a variety of catsharks and numerous species or corals. Breeding is also a matter of great joy and pride for our staff.
