Giant spider crabs are the largest crustacean known. Imagine a crab with a leg-span of 3.6 m and weighing 18 Kg! Chimaeras gently swim along the sea floor and are cartilaginous fish, like sharks, their relatives. These animals have a spine on their dorsal fin, which can inflict a very painful sting.
