Developed by the consortium Coutant/Architect Pedro Campos Costa, the "Edifício do Mar" expanded the offering of the Oceanário de Lisboa with new services that reinforces the role of equipment in the promotion of the knowledge of the oceans.
Featuring a facade of "scales" materialized by pieces of pottery in three shades of white, giving it an organic and innovative aspect, the building includes an area dedicated to temporary exhibits, a new reception, the auditorium "Mar da Palha" and the restaurant "Tejo".
