The Inca tern is a coastal bird that has very conspicuous white curved feathers in the shape of a moustache. This bird forms large groups and frequents rocky coasts, where it builds a nest in a crack or in an old burrow of another bird. It feeds at sea but always stays close to the coast, constantly exhibiting its gracious and agile capacity to fly. The juveniles have a beak and dark feet, which slowly turn red, which is characteristic of the adults.
