This anemone has a short column, which gives it a very distinctive look. The crown is roundly shaped and hosts numerous short tentacles, which job is to gather food. After feeding this animal retracts and looks like a closed bag. Like many other anemones and corals, they share a symbiotic relationship with photosynthetic algae (zooxanthellae).
