Bicolour chromis

Biology

The bicolour chromis inhabits coastal reefs, amongst mixed algae-coral reef or rocky reefs. It is solitary but can be seen in small groups. During the breeding season, males guard and aerate the eggs.

Curiosities

It owes its name to its curious two-coloured body: it is black up to the caudal peduncle, and it is white from there to the tip of the caudal fin.
