Junior Aquarist - Biology & Conservation Department

The Oceanário is recruiting a Junior Aquarist for the Biology & Conservation Department.
The Aquarist to be recruited will be part of the team responsible for the well-being of the animals and the exhibiting quality of the aquariums at Oceanário de Lisboa.

MISSION
Ensuring the well-being of the animals and the exhibiting quality of the aquariums at the Oceanário de Lisboa.

RESPONSIBILITIES
| Animal observation and feeding;
| Operation and monitoring of life support systems;
| Monitoring of water quality;
| Execution of cleaning routines for aquariums and technical areas;
| Interconnection of those activities with the other employees and collaborators of the First Party;
| All other services that are deemed necessary for the pursuit of the activity contracted herein, considering the end of the same, and that the First Party intends to commit to it.

SKILLS
| Aquaculture and/or aquaculture knowledge
| Work experience in aquaculture/public aquarium (minimum 1 year)
| Diving course
| Basic knowledge of life support systems
| Basic knowledge of water quality in saltwater systems
| written and spoken English;
| know how to swim
| Good physical ability (the job of an Aquarist is physically demanding)

LITERARY ABILITIES
| Degree in Marine Biology or similar (completed in the last 7 years)

| Humid environment with temperature differences
