Life Support Systems Technician
The Oceanário de Lisboa is recruiting a Life Support Systems Technician for the Biology & Conservation Department!
MISSION
To ensure the well-being of the animals and the exhibition quality of the Lisbon Oceanarium aquariums.
RESPONSIBILITIES
| To ensure the safety and well-being of the animal collection through the correct operation of the life support systems;
| To guarantee the operation of the equipment allocated to the automation and monitoring of the installation;
| Supervising the activities of subcontracted companies for maintenance and/or installation activities of the facility's automation and monitoring equipment in the scope of the life support systems;
| All other services that are deemed necessary to the pursuit of the activity.
COMPETENCES
| Basic knowledge of life support systems
| Basic knowledge in the area of Information Technologies (databases, programming, network infrastructures, computer applications)
| Basic knowledge of water quality (preferential)
| Knowledge of aquariology and/or aquaculture (preferable)
| Knowledge of diving (preferable)
| Written and spoken English;
| Knowledge of swimming.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
| Degree in Biological Engineering / Bioengineering or Chemical and Biological Engineering or similar
