Where to eat

#SeaTheFuture RESTAURANT

Because the path to sustainability also involves what we eat, the #SeaTheFuture restaurant suggests ending your visit to the Oceanário de Lisboa with a tasty and sustainable meal made with organic, seasonal products of known origin and favouring local producers and companies.

The menu at #SeaTheFuture, a restaurant run by the SushiCafé Group, has a strong vegan and gluten-free component, with steamed products, salads, sandwiches, toasts, piadinas, granolas, smoothies and natural juices, among other healthy options. There's also a special menu for children, with mini pancakes, soup, rolls, burgers and more.

Discover the perfect combination of a unique gastronomic experience and memorable family moments at the Oceanário de Lisboa. The #SeaTheFuture restaurant offers not only delicious lunch options, but also a relaxed atmosphere with an outdoor space that offers incredible views of the river. Ideal for family lunches, #SeaTheFuture allows adults to enjoy a quiet break while the children have fun in the Jardim das Ondas. If you're looking for places to have lunch with children or simply want to know where to eat before or after your visit to the Oceanário de Lisboa, the diverse menu, including light options such as salads and bagels, and dishes that are sure to please the younger ones, make #SeaTheFuture the ideal choice.

Oceanário de Lisboa started the #SeaTheFuture movement in 2018, helping to redesign the future of the ocean and marine natural capital through a society that is active in changing behaviour; from what we eat to what we wear, every choice is an opportunity to promote ocean conservation.

Opening hours: daily, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Location: Ground floor of the Oceanário de Lisboa.

TEJO RESTAURANT

If you still don't know where to eat in Lisbon, the Tejo Restaurant located in the Oceanário de Lisboa is an excellent alternative.

Inaugurated in 2011, with the expansion of the Edifício do Mar ("Sea Building") led by the architect Pedro Campos Costa, the Tejo restaurant is integrated into the visit route of Oceanário de Lisboa, in a large, bright space. Favouring comfort, the space offers meals that explore a cuisine inspired by Mediterranean gastronomy. In addition to the cafeteria, the menu, designed by the Cerger group, offers soup, salads, fish, meat and vegetarian alternatives, and varies daily, with alternatives to please the whole family.

The restaurant's terrace will allow visitors to take a closer look at the double ceramic façade, designed by Toni Cumella Vendrell's studio, with 4,000 pieces that resemble "scales", in three shades of white, and with variable openings to allow a play of light between the interior of the restaurant and the outside.

Opening hours: daily, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Location: 1st Floor of the Oceanário de Lisboa.
