Golden damselfish
Biology
The golden damselfish, reaches up to 13 centimetres, and owes its name to its beautiful yellow golden colouration. It lives in outer reefs, deep lagoons, and areas with currents. It feeds on zooplankton, juveniles often form small groups, and adults may be found among gorgonians laying eggs on them.
Curiosities
Males are scrupulous fathers, which will guard and aerate the eggs until they hatch.
