Biology

The adult goldtail damsel inhabits shallow, coral-rich areas. It occurs in small groups, especially near corals of the genus Acropora. Its body is blue, except for the caudal fin, which is bright yellow.

Curiosities

The male is responsible for the care and guardianship of the eggs. This is when they become very territorial.
