Frilly sea anemone

Biology

This sea anemone is characterized by its tentacles, which have elaborate branches. Depending on the species, there are a wide variety of colours, and their branches of their tentacles might have different patterns. Found among coral reeds or with the body column wedged in crevices, it reaches up to 12 centimetres in diameter.

Conservation

Like other creatures of the intertidal zone, sea anemones are affected by human activities such as water pollution or habitat degradation.
