Lawson cedar

Biology

The Lawson cedar occurs from average sea level to an altitude of 1500 metres in mountain valleys, often following water courses. The wood is strong and durable. The male inflorescences (part of the plants where the flowers are localized) are purple, with bluish cones when young and brown ones when mature.

Curiosities

It is characterized by its height, reaching 50 to 70 metres, with a pyramidal crown.
