"Mastering Uncertainty in the Blue Planet" with Jorgen Bo Nielsen
Conference Human Habitat, October 19th, 6:30 p.m.
Can we curb climate change? Well, we could, but apparently we won’t.
Can we stop floods, draughts and failed harvests? No, we can’t, even if we did stop climate change.
Can we make our beaches, lakes and rivers clean and safe for wildlife and mankind? Yes we can and some say we are already doing so. But is it enough?
That leaves big questions that will be discussed during the next Human Habitat conference: What can we do? What can I do? How can we help mastering uncertainty in the Blue Planet?
JØrgen Bo Nielsen is currently Vice President for DHI’s global R&D activities. His scientific background is in coastal engineering, but his 35 years in DHI has exposed him to challenges within a wide range of water environments.
Don’t miss it! At the Oceanário de Lisboa’s Auditorium.
