Whether through the visit to the aquarium or the lecture "Planet Ocean - For the Care of the Common Home" we hope to have awakened a feeling of protecting the ocean in favour of a sustainable future.

At World Youth Day 2023, in Lisbon, Oceanário de Lisboa challenges young people from all over the world to live an immersive experience of ocean contemplation.
Oceanário de Lisboa is a partner in the WYD Youth Festival and offers a unique programme to connect emotionally with the ocean and mobilise for the care of our common home.
360 million square kilometres of salt water unite more than 8 billion people. From 1 to 4 August, there will be four environmental awareness sessions "Planet Ocean - For the Care of our Common Home" in the Oceanário auditorium for participants with a World Youth Day 2023 credential - a talk that unveils the role of the ocean in the balance of the planet and our crucial role in its sustainability. At the end of the session, they will be able to visit the Oceanário's three exhibitions: "Forests Underwater by Takashi Amano", "ONE - The Ocean as you have never felt it" and "One planet, one ocean", to know and feel the magic of the ocean's biodiversity.
In addition to this talk, World Youth Day Lisbon 2023 participants can visit the Oceanário de Lisboa for a special price of €10.
Elected 3 times "Best Aquarium in the World", the Oceanário de Lisboa is a "must visit" in Lisbon. To embark on a contemplative journey with 8000 marine creatures, such as penguins, sea otters, rays, sharks, and stunning corals, participants must present their WYD credentials at the Oceanario ticket office, or buy the ticket at oceanario.pt, inserting the promotional code available in the World Youth Day APP (Museums area).
